Traditional instruments such as frame drums, the talharpa, bagpipes, and the morin khuur take centre stage here, often accompanied by traditional singing techniques.
This is where traditional instruments, musical traditions passed down through generations, and my own compositions come together, with my lyrics becoming part of the music.
Older forms of musical expression are explored, reinterpreted, and occasionally combined with modern elements. Not in an attempt to recreate the past exactly as it was, but to allow its rich musical diversity to live on in the present.
From time to time, you will also encounter ancient languages in these pieces. Some of them are reconstructed languages whose original pronunciation is, unfortunately, no longer known with certainty. These are mostly Proto-Indo-European or Sumerian. Latin, on the other hand, will probably be more familiar to you.
And if you do not happen to understand the language, the final verse will usually provide a translation. So I am not simply asking you to sing along to something you do not understand. I prefer to give you at least a little idea of what you are singing about.
If you enjoy my music, I would be very grateful for a small donation. But a like, or perhaps even a subscription to one of my social media channels, would also be greatly appreciated.
